The case of the exequatur of Ukrainian courts decisions on the territory of the French Republic
Legal system solutions LLP accompanied the procedure of exequatur of Ukrainian courts decisions on the territory of the French Republic.
This procedure was necessary due to the fact that:
- the debtor of the Client changed his permanent place of residence (from Ukraine to the French Republic);
- the debtor has not fulfilled the decisions of Ukrainian courts to recover the debt in favor of the Client;
- the enforcement of decisions of Ukrainian courts outside Ukraine is possible only after the recognition of these decisions in the State where enforcement will be carried out.
The recognition of foreign judgments in France is carried out by appealing to the French court. According to French legislation in cases of this category the participation of a lawyer (French lawyer) is obligatory.
